El pasado jueves 6 de abril de 2023 falleció de una manera repentina e inesperada el profesor Jürguen Basedow, lo cual ha llenado de gran dolor al colectivo español de Derecho internacional privado, al que estaba muy vinculado.

En 2019 había sido nombrado doctor honoris causa de la Universidad de Valencia. Pertenecía al Consejo de Dirección del Anuario Español de Derecho Internacional Privado y participó muy activamente en varias sesiones del Seminario Complutense de Derecho internacional privado.

Jürgen Basedow
